The menu itself reads like a treasure trove of delights for seafood lovers and sushi enthusiasts alike. Signature sushi rolls are a standout — the Tempura Roll indulges with golden, deep-fried shrimp combined with cream cheese, cucumber, and serrano, crowned by crispy tempura shrimp that deliver a satisfying crunch with every mouthful. For those craving something with a smoky, hearty edge, the Herencia Roll pairs tender steak and shrimp with cream cheese, topped generously with crab salad and velvety avocado. Beyond sushi, MAR & SUCHII shines with its diverse seafood entrees and appetizers that showcase authentic Latin flavors. The Empanadas de Pulpo are a must-try—these cheesy octopus empanadas arrive piping hot, drizzled with chipotle sauce that lingers pleasantly on your palate. Equally enticing are the Chicharron de Pulpo, fried octopus seasoned lovingly and paired with a smoky chipotle dip that elevates every bite. For a communal, hands-on dining experience, their Seafood Boil invites you to indulge in an abundance of fresh shrimp, crab, and other shellfish, all bursting with seasoning and zest. Don't miss the Michelada or their refreshing Agua De Piña, perfect complements to the vibrant flavors on your plate.

Amazing food and outstanding service! The owners of the restaurant were so attentive and always making sure we had everything we needed. You must order the empanadas, try each roll, and you cannot skip the camarones cucarachas. The aguachile is not for the weak, it’s packed with flavor and it’s got a kick at the end. Everything was fresh and the flavor was on point!

Seen this place on tiktok and thought we would take the drive to try it and was not disappointed. We went on a Friday night and we're seated immediately. Waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and was very attentive. We orderd Agua Frescas which I would definitely recommend trying. We ordered the calamari and empanada for appetizers and both were delicious. We also ordered 2 sushi rolls but definitely have had better the rice was sadly over cooked. My husband ordered the Torre mar & suchii and it was honestly incredible we both really enjoyed it. We definitely will be coming back.

We recommend this restaurant, since we walked in the service was excellent. The waitress knew the menu well, and answered questions about ingredients in many dishes. The seafood was fresh, the octupus and calamari were cooked perfectly. The prices were fair and comparable to other Chicago spots. We will go back soon.

Everyone should eat here at least once. The food might be a little pricy but it us worth it. The dishes lend themselves to be shared with your table. Be prepared to wait there is a line and not to mention the deliveries they have. The Cameron's en Aguachile Verdes was not spicy but still enjoyable. The Ceviche de Mango is good for someone who doesn't like mango. The best dishes for me were are the warm dishes. The tacos are good for a small meal. However, I highly recommend the Fries Shrimp. It is a filling and tasty appetizer. The Tempura Roll is served hot and it is delicious. It's a must try item. If your not that into fish you can order some dishes with beef (surf and turf). For drinks, I recommended the Aguas Frescas, they come in jars and are worth their price. I will definitely becoming back.
